Master Plan Update “Final” Workshop on Thursday, May 10th
April 24, 2018
Public invited to learn more about the alternatives analysis for ABE
What future projects and plans are on the radar at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE)?
Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA) is approaching the final stages of submitting a “Master Plan Update” to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which outlines a 25-year development plan and program that maintains a safe, efficient, financially sound and sustainable airport facility.
As part of this endeavor, the Airport Authority is hosting a “Final Public Workshop”, inviting the community to learn about the Master Plan Update and view the Draft Preferred Development Concept in a phased approach. The forecasted demand of passenger traffic, general aviation and cargo activity dictates the timing of the proposed development necessary to maintain the required level of service for ABE into the future. Additional exhibits will also include: information from the regional context, inventory of facilities and aircraft forecast information.
LNAA staff and consultants participating in the project encourage the public to leave comments regarding the project for review. This event will be an open house format.
Public Workshop (Open House Format)
Thursday, May 10th – 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
2nd Floor of Main Terminal, 3311 Airport Road, Allentown
*all attendees will have parking validated
Last updated in 2004, the goal of this Master Plan Update includes providing the guidance to satisfy demand in a financially feasible and responsible manner, while at the same time addressing the aviation, environmental, and socioeconomic issues of the community and region as they relate to Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE), while engaging the community.
