Since takeoff in 2018, passenger traffic at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) has experienced a steady ascent and that trend continued in April.

Last month, 65,648 passengers traveled through ABE – that is a 17.2 percent increase from April 2017.

This marked the seventh consecutive month of positive passenger growth dating back to October 2017.

“Strong performances by our legacy carriers of American, United and Delta certainly played a pivotal role in higher volumes of passengers traveling through the Airport,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

By the numbers, American reported a total passenger increase of 37%, followed by Allegiant up 18%, United posting 14% growth, and Delta at 4%.

“The busiest part of our travel season is fast approaching, and we remain focused on maintaining this positive momentum by striving to be the best regional airport system in North America through first class customer service,” said Stoudt.
