Seasonal flights to Denver and Nashville return on May 22nd
(Hanover Township, PA) – In April, 85,391 passengers traveled through Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) – an 11.3% increase from April 2024.
“Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kickoff to summer, and ABE is excited about the return of seasonal flights to Denver and Nashville. Both popular vacation destinations will add to the many fantastic options already available to our travelers as they seek their summer getaway,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

By the numbers, Allegiant Air jumped 27% and Delta Airlines increased 5.4%. Meanwhile, American Airlines declined 8.6%, and United Airlines dipped 10.9% from the previous April.
Here are some helpful tips for summer travel:
- Don’t forget your Real ID compliant document for TSA processing

- Give yourself extra time to process through the TSA Checkpoint
- Visit TSA.gov or @askTSA with any general questions or to arrange travel with special circumstances
- TSA does not require children under 18 years old to provide identification when traveling within the U.S.
- Boarding begins 30 to 45 minutes prior to departure
- If you are traveling with children, double-check their carry-on bags to ensure there aren’t any prohibited items
- Checked bags will not be accepted less than 30 minutes before departure
- According to AAA, flexibility is “key” to purchasing cheaper airfares and booking flights on a Tuesday or Wednesday can provide more affordable options
