November 20th, 2017 |

Highest single-month total since August 2016

(Allentown, PA) – The holiday travel season has arrived, but passenger traffic at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) is already experiencing a remarkable rise.

In October, over 67,000 passengers traveled through ABE – that is a 19 percent increase from October of 2016.

Month             Passengers                  Percentage increase               Month             Passengers

Oct. ’17               67,261                                 19.6%                          Oct. ’16               58,198

“The increase indicates that passengers continue enjoying quality air service options, affordability, convenience, comfort and a family-friendly environment while traveling through ABE” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Interim Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

Currently, ABE has provided the highest quality of customer service for 576,320 passengers in 2017.

“Focusing on enhancing the passenger experience by unveiling the Multi-Modal Transportation Center, restoring ride-share operations and always identifying initiatives to ensure a memorable customer experience has us anticipating a strong finish in 2017,” said Stoudt.
