Statement from LNAA regarding COVID-19 cases

April 7th, 2020 |

The following statement regarding COVID-19 may be attributed to Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority:

“The Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA) has been notified that (4) employees of terminal tenants at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) have tested positive for COVID-19 (Coronavirus). These employees have not been at the airport since March 27th.

Following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), these tenants have notified any employee that may have been exposed to these individuals and have provided instructions to these employees and direct co-workers/team members.

In executing every necessary precaution, the CDC recommended disinfecting cleaning of the impacted areas has already been performed.

The health and safety of all passengers, stakeholders, and staff remain paramount during this unprecedented health crisis.  We remain vigilant in the daily sanitizing and disinfecting of all heavy traffic areas of the terminal complex at ABE, which is being performed several times a day. Additionally, the LNAA continues to implement prevention measures for safety.

My thoughts and wishes are for a full and fast recovery for all individuals at ABE affected by COVID-19.”
