11-percent passenger traffic increase from January 17’

Soaring out of the gate in 2018, the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA) announced a sharp increase in passenger traffic during January at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE).

Last month, 53,177 passengers traveled through ABE – an 11.9 percent increase from January 2017.

“The combination of additional flights to our leisure destinations aboard Allegiant and strong performance from American, Delta and United has put ABE on a positive track to start the year,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Interim Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

 In 2017, 692,154 passengers traveled through ABE – the highest level since 2012.

“While passenger traffic is trending upward at ABE, we continue to pursue new opportunities for growth and enhancements to the customer experience,” said Stoudt.
