Nearly 100,000 passengers travel through ABE
In June, 99,966 passengers used Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) – a 1.4% increase from the previous year and the highest June activity on record for ABE.
“These next three months (June, July, August) are always the busiest for us. ABE provides strong nonstop connections for those vacationers seeking leisure destinations. The return of seasonal service to Denver and Nashville also has added a strong boost to activity,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

By the numbers, United Airlines rose 7.9%, Allegiant Air increased 5.4% and Delta Airlines remained flat. Meanwhile, American Airlines declined 17.5% compared to June 2024.
More service to Chicago!
Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) is excited to announce the expansion of air service to Chicago O’Hare International Airport with a third daily flight aboard United Airlines starting on Tuesday, August 19th.
Unfortunately, Landline Bus Company (United) has made the decision to discontinue nonstop service from ABE to Newark International Airport (EWR) beginning Monday, September 1st.
As a reminder, Trans-Bridge Lines bus service continues to serve EWR daily from ABE.
Smart Market Opens
ABE passengers will continue to have 24/7 access to food and beverages at a newly constructed self-shopping concession area located by Gate 7 (beyond TSA Checkpoint), presented by Canteen North America.
Moving Freight
23,172,476 pounds of air cargo was processed through Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) last month – an increase of 23.5% from June 2024.
