Passengers Continue Marching Through ABE

April 23rd, 2018 |

14-percent increase in passenger traffic from previous March

Mother Nature created March Madness with late arriving winter weather, but passengers continued marching through Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) finding escape routes to warmer destinations.

Last month, 66,267 passengers traveled through ABE – that is a 14.3 percent increase from March 2017.

“The Airport has experienced a strong first quarter of 2018, as all of our carriers have at some point delivered higher volumes of passengers, which we hope continues through the busiest part of the travel season over the summer months,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

This marked the sixth consecutive month of positive passenger growth dating back to October 2017.

“Continuing to identify ways of enhancing the customer experience, which includes our pursuit of additional air service options remains paramount to achieving our vision of being the best regional airport system in North America,” said Stoudt.
