“Aviation plays a vital role in keeping our state’s economy moving,” Governor Wolf said.

The Security Checkpoint and Terminal Connector Project at ABE received  $1,778,500. The Project includes:

  • A 4-lane TSA Security Checkpoint with the latest generation screening equipment
  • New vertical circulation equipment with redundancy to enhance ADA compliance

“We appreciate the commitment of Governor Wolf, the PennDOT Bureau of Aviation, and our regional delegation in Harrisburg for their strong support of this necessary infrastructure project at ABE,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

“This funding provides another critical component that will enable the Airport Authority to bring this important project to fruition in 2023,” Stoudt said.
