September 14th, 2017 |

Rideshare service is available immediately for passengers

Hanover Township, PA –Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA) and Lyft have announced an agreement to provide transportation service for passengers effective immediately.

“We are really excited to have Lyft on board, which provides another critical component of enhancing our customer service for passengers in need of ground transportation,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Interim Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

The rideshare staging area for the pick-up and drop-off area at LVIA will be located outside the Main Terminal (by Departures) on the second level, near the old LANta bus stop.

“We want to thank all our passengers for their patience and understanding in recent months while the Airport Authority worked to resolve the ridesharing disruption at LVIA,” said Stoudt.

Lyft is the fastest growing rideshare company in the U.S and is available to 94 percent of the US population. You can sign-up and download the Lyft app by visiting: www.lyft.com/app-sms.

“We’re excited to announce our partnership with Lehigh Valley International Airport,” said Don Griffin, Lyft’s Business Development Manager. “People at airports across the country have embraced Lyft as a modern transportation solution and we look forward to serving LVIA passengers.”

Lyft was founded in June 2012 by Logan Green and John Zimmer to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. Lyft is preferred by drivers and passengers for its safe and friendly experience, and its commitment to effecting positive change for the future of our cities.
