“Love is in the Air” winner receive (2) round-trip tickets aboard the inaugural flight

Allentown, PA – Finding a way to escape the winter weather and cold temperatures has passengers at Lehigh Valley International Airport “ready for takeoff” on their inaugural flight to Fort Lauderdale.

The Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA) and Allegiant celebrate the arrival of non-stop air service to Fort Lauderdale (FL) with “Love is in the Air” on Wednesday, February 15th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in Wiley Departure Terminal. A “water arch” will welcome the arriving aircraft at 6:30 p.m. followed by a brief speaking program and ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.

“In the past, passengers would need to use Philadelphia or Newark for this flight, but now they can choose the convenient and customer-friendly environment at Lehigh Valley International Airport,” said Charles Everett, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

As part of the “Love is in the Air” celebration, Lehigh Valley residents had an opportunity to submit a Valentine’s Day message describing “why they love flying from ABE,” with the winner receiving (2) round-trip tickets to Fort Lauderdale and a three-night hotel stay at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel.

This event also includes raffles, refreshments, giveaways and goodie bags (sunglasses, sunscreen and a coozie) for Fort Lauderdale bound passengers.
