September 21st, 2017 |

Uber is available immediately for passengers at Lehigh Valley International Airport

Hanover Township, PA –Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA) and Uber have announced an agreement to provide ride-share service for passengers effective immediately.

“It’s been a priority for the Airport Authority to bring Uber back, and we believe they provide another critical component of delivering the highest level of customer service at LVIA for passengers looking for ground transportation options,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Interim Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

The staging area for the Uber pick-up and drop-off area at LVIA will be located outside the Main Terminal on the second level (by Departures), near the former LANta bus stop.

“We want to thank all our passengers for their patience and understanding in recent months while the Airport Authority worked to restore ridesharing service at LVIA,” said Stoudt.

“On behalf of the riders and drivers who count on Uber at LVIA, we’re pleased to be launching this new partnership,” said Brian Hughes, General Manager of Uber Pennsylvania. “Whether you’re headed home or catching your flight, Uber can help you get there with a safe, affordable ride.”

Uber’s mission is to bring reliable transportation to everywhere, for everyone. We started in 2010 to solve a simple problem: how do you get a ride at the touch of a button? Six years and more than two billion trips later, we’ve started tackling an even greater challenge: reducing congestion and pollution in our cities by getting more people into fewer cars.
