Helicopter Rides by Vertivue available on August 20 at Queen City Airport

Allentown, PA – Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority has announced that Vertivue, the area’s premiere helicopter operator, is ready to soar above the Lehigh Valley during “Wings and Wheels” Day at Queen City Airport on Saturday, August 20 (Rain date – Aug. 21). The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and admission to this family event is FREE.

Vertivue will provide the public this “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity to enjoy a unique aerial experience from its sophisticated Enstrom turbine helicopter. Helicopter rides are six-minutes in length and available on a first come, first serve basis. The cost per ride is $35. Two to three passengers will be able to ride at a time, as determined by weight limits for safety.

Donations or proceeds from the event will benefit the LNAA Aviation Exposure and Education Program. The AEP is designed to provide practical experience for students with interest in aviation and aerospace-related careers and aeronautical facilities and equipment.

“Our hope is that the experience of flying in a private helicopter might pique the interest of someone attending this event and put them on a path to a career in aviation,” said Charles Everett, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

Vertivue is an FAA-approved helicopter Air Tour Operator based out of Queen City Airport.  To learn more about Vertivue, visit www.vertivue.com or the company’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/vertivue.
