February Fury of Passenger Traffic at ABE

March 22nd, 2018 |

It’s only been two months, but Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) has enjoyed a strong start to 2018 with another significant increase in passenger traffic during February.

Last month, 53,564 passengers traveled through ABE – that is a 15 percent increase from February 2017.

“Allegiant posted the most significant jump with their additional flights performing well, but our legacy carriers, especially Delta and United, also experienced a sharp increase in traffic for the month,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

This continues a streak of five consecutive months of positive passenger growth dating back to October 2017.

“Maintaining steady growth and continuing to enhance the customer experience remains paramount to achieving our mission,” said Stoudt.

In 2017, 692,154 passengers traveled through ABE – the highest level since 2012.
