A Courtyard by Marriott is landing at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) in 2027.
Joined by legislative and regional leaders, Airport officials hosted an official groundbreaking ceremony earlier this month.
“We’re focused on making ABE a travel hub that serves a significant role in economic development for the Lehigh Valley. Make no mistake, this hotel not only elevates the service to airport customers but expands lodging options for tourists,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).
Among the amenities at the 145-room hotel will be a bar/lounge, meeting space, fitness center, business center, onsite laundry, and an outdoor seating area.
As part of an Airport Master Plan Study Update, a review of ABE’s regional context revealed the lack of available hotel capacity along the Airport Road corridor.
Marriott International saw an opportunity.
“We know this market very well. A Courtyard by Marriott speaks to that person who’s staying, one, two, or three nights.The airport location is a really good fit for that brand,” said Tom Reese, Area Vice President of Lodging Development.
Thank you to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for supporting this project with a $1-million grant from the Redevelopment Capital Assistance Program (RCAP).
