Firefighter Richard Hildebrand, Jr. promoted to the rank of Lieutenant
On Tuesday, April 30th, the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA) promoted ARFF member Richard Hildebrand, Jr. to the rank of Lieutenant with a pinning ceremony during the monthly LNAA Board of Governors Meeting. The LNAA hosted its last pinning ceremony in June 2015.
Richard has been the Fire Chief of Lehigh Township and the Lehigh Township Fire Company (Cherryville, PA) for the past 13 years.

- Hired by the LNAA on May 12th, 2015
- 10 nationally accredited certifications
- Professional Certification by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency for County Level Emergency Management

Richard and his wife, Christine, are married 24 years and have a daughter, Ashley, that attends Moravian College.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mandates ARFF operations at all U.S. airports that serve scheduled passenger air carriers. Airports required to have ARFF services are inspected at least annually by the FAA for compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 139.
