“50/50” Raffle to Raise Funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

LNAA Executive Director Charles Everett is candidate for “Man of the Year”

Lehigh Valley, PA (April 12, 2017) – Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority Executive Director Charles Everett has announced his candidacy for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2017 Man & Woman of the Year (MWOY) fundraising competition.

“I’ve heard stories of triumph and others of tragedy due to this disease; with your support, we can join the mission to help find a cure for cancer,” said Everett

As part of the campaign, the Airport Authority is hosting a 50/50 raffle with a top prize of no less than $1,000 dollars. The raffle winner will be announced on June 5.

Money raised from Man & Woman of the Year will benefit LLS’s mission to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. To date, LLS has invested over $1 billion in research to advance breakthrough therapies that are saving lives today.

“We are grateful for the support of Charles as he sets out on an amazing journey to raise money for lifesaving cancer research,” said Ellen Rubesin, Executive Director of the Eastern PA Chapter.

The Man and Woman of the Year winners will be announced at the Grand Finale at DeSales University on June 6. The night will be a celebration of all the candidates’ collective efforts as they enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions, and dinner and dancing.
