95,254 passengers choose ABE in March
(Hanover Township, PA) – Starting May 7, 2025, all US travelers must be REAL ID compliant to board domestic airline flights and buses.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) does not require children under 18 years old to provide identification when traveling within the United States.
“ABE needs you to be ready to fly. Failure to display a Real ID compliant document during the TSA screening process may subject you to additional advanced screening, which may delay your travel or even force you to miss your flight,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).
Like many airports across the State, ABE strongly encourages everyone to prepare a pre-travel checklist for this new requirement which includes identifying your Real ID compliant document.
In March, 95,254 passengers used ABE – the second highest monthly passenger traffic for March on record.

By the numbers, Allegiant Air jumped 23.6% and Delta Airlines increased 3.83%. Meanwhile, American Airlines declined 9.2%, and United Airlines dipped 3.6% from the previous March.

28,355,947 pounds of air cargo was processed through Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) last month – an increase of 18.9% from March 2024.
