“Earth Day” Celebration with Clean-up Caravan

LNAA Staff are scheduled to visit ABE and Queen City Airports

Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA) staff members will clean-up trash, plant flowers and spruce-up facilities at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) and Queen City Airport (XLL) to celebrate Earth Day on Friday, April 20th.

“Our participation in Earth Day each demonstrates the organization’s commitment to protecting the environment, but the Airport Authority focuses throughout the year on maintaining a strong recycling program and using environmentally friendly materials at all airport facilities,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22, when events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and celebrated in more than 193 countries each year.

LNAA Staff and volunteers will be working at the Multi-Modal Transportation Center (11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.); Hangar 7/FBO (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.);and Queen City Airport (11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.).

This event will be held rain or shine.
