Lost property reports for items that may have been lost during security screening, on an aircraft or bus transportation, or in a rental car, need to be directed to the appropriate agency or operator directly. Please refer to the appropriate website for their specific lost property procedures.

The Airport Authority Operations Center can only assist with the property that may have been lost within the airport terminal or departure buildings, parking lots, walkways, or roadways. To report lost property to the Airport Authority, complete the lost property form, or call (610) 231-5274.
The Airport Authority does not retain lost food and beverage items, including reusable beverage and food containers, soiled or unlaundered clothing, pillows, blankets, toiletries, hygiene care items, or other items which may pose sanitary concerns for handling and storage.
If items matching the description of lost property are in our found property inventory within 30 days of the lost property report, owners will be contacted to verify ownership and arrange reunification.
Retention of found property is generally 60 days, with the following exceptions:
- Passports are mailed to the U.S. Department of State Passport Services after being held for seven (7) days.
- State-issued driver’s licenses and photo identification cards are mailed to the owner’s address displayed on the I.D. after seven (7) days. If I.D. is returned undeliverable, it is destroyed.
- Vaccination Cards are mailed to Lehigh Valley Health Network Infectious Control after seven (7) days.
- Credit and debit cards are destroyed after two (2) days.
Once confirmation that your lost property has been found, owners may retrieve items in person or delegate someone authorized to retrieve items on their behalf. Valid photo identification and signature are required.
If items cannot be retrieved in person, arrangements can be made to return items at the owner’s expense via Federal Express (FedEx). Upon verification that the property is in our found inventory and making arrangements with the Authority’s sender, the owner must create a FedEx shipping label with the delivery options of preference and email the label for packaging and shipment.

Note on the form that lost property reports will be purged after 30 days and will only be available to the Airport Authority and will not be shared with other stakeholders – (as noted on page 1, paragraph 1 – However you need to word that so we don’t receive reports that owners assume we will pass along to others.)
